This is an extra thing who came out after we bought iRacing. I don`t think it was ever planned to allow private races. But things changed.

I have requested a server a long time ago knowing that it would be a "pay-server", so not a surprice for me and a very fair price. Who on the earth can`t afford a server for 1$ if he WANTS?

I think I payed 15£ a month for a LFS server at the beginning in LFS and I ended to pay 10£ a month for it and it was only a private server for our league races..

You can join my league in iRacing for free m8.. I love clean and fair racers...

Thats cheap. If I want to put up a league with one or two races per week..it`s then much cheaper than 1/2 liter of Coca Cola here in Denmark..

Quote from anttt69 :edit: just read the above post

Thx for the info, could someone post up the calender for the Lotus, Skippy & Jetta. This offer is a good one, infact the best offer so far me thinks.
Is there a championship that uses VIR (or a nother good track) twice & maybe Laguna in the same season?

Skip Barber is on Virginia Full this week...end later on in the season, again on Virginia North. Jetta also has a race there on Virginia Long... No one is in the same week...

F Mazda has two races there...one at Vir Full and one on Vir West..

Riley is also there once..and Radical once..and Lotus 79 F1..

You could also buy the great Sebring. Skip Barber is there two times and the Jetta once.... No more races on Sebring in the F1 79 this season.. Imo Virginia is the track to rent.. ...

Schedule is attached

Quote from Quint999 :I can beat that , i was the car behind you, bar the people that disconnected i was the actual last car in the DP Pro splits on Saturday

I was doing ok until half way, probably could have finished 15th ish and the cars werent that spread out from 10 -15 . Had a lap where lost all concentration, blew 2 or 3 spots and 40 odd seconds followed by a puncture just after the pits, so a whole lap trundling round. In my haste to get out from the puncture, got black flagged for speeding, all the way round ,back to the pits again , lapped twice in the end.

First and last race in that bloody horrible thing

Hind? I saw it all then. I didn`t knew why you slowed down...a puncture..I never tried that..

My goal was not to be last and I just managed it..

@Samuli. We should take another car for the rest of the Pro series..
I would prefer the Radical over the DP...

Ha ha... I`m almost dead last in that Riley. The car is not my cup of tea..
I`m 3 or 4 sec. slower than Huttu. My one and only race was even worse. I damaged my steering in an accident on lap 2 in T1 and then had problems with turning to the left.. I then had lap times 5-6 sec slower than Huttu..

I don`t belong at the Pro level in the Riley.... I`m not fast in that car and really no time to improve.. Only one race time per week fits me..and thats on saturday at 20.00 GMT..

Anyone else tried that combo?

Ohh yes..Last year in season 2 I drove many races there..it`s a great track..especially in the Mazda..

On lap 1 in T1 1/3 of the field went off there...and then a lot in T2... Was easy to get a good result there...start last or almost last...keep out of danger and let the others do the bad stuff...and you are up there in the end..
Ok things has changed i guess...but cya there from time to time in the new season..

Quote from bbman :I didn't (I clarified that in the very post you got my statistics from)...

Np here.. But my english really sucks some times..sry for that..
I wrote: "but at least I didn`t offend you.. " It should had been "but at least I didn`t tried to offend you.."

All my english is NOT learned in school, but learned by reading the Italian motorsports magazine called Autosprint in the beginning of the 80`s.. English via an Italian magazine? Yes there was english text underneath ALL the pictures..no where else.. Later on I learned more english through the english Autosport..and then yet more when I got Satellite TV in 1987, watching Super Channel and ScreenSport.. So my gramma is not good at all...never been because no one tells me what is wrong..
Enough from me..will take a break..

My english sucks, thats why i`m always answers nice..

But you wrote this:

"One thing more for the oval guys to play with, but helps the road racing side of things nothing at all... "

Imo it shows that you are saying that oval guys has got something NEW again, but the road guys didn`t..

I now you didn`t spoke specific about new cars and tracks, but my quoting of your post seems for me that there are a a little "devil" inside you who thinks that oval racers has an advantage.. I could be wrong as my english sucks...but at least I didn`t offend you..

Bernhard - why do you need more Road tracks?
You has not raced on (you could of course have running test on them)
Barber Motorsports Park
Infineon
Road America
Road Atlanta
Silverstone
Watkins Glen

A lot of tracks for you to race on...no matter how many ovals there are coming...

With your C license and above 4.0 you could race on all I thinks, if you has bought the cars....

Quote from bbman :I find nothing in it, why should it be different with someone else the other way round?

I know a lot of people who hated oval racing until they gave it a go and they loved it after... But there is also some who still hates it..thats normal in life..

I have read at the iRacing that some americans who hated Road Racing until they gave that a go and they loved it...
People are very different. Ok you don`t like it and thats ok, but oval is also for some Road Racers..

About TV and so on... No it`s not sure Grand-Am will come, but MAYBE... iRacing has a bright future... and because we already have the Riley, will get the Mustang and so on, then G-A is a possibility.
FPS shooter games are in TV..and even in Denmark there are FIFA games live on TV.. why not simracing?
But getting iRacing on TV will benefits everybody. Is it wrong that iRacing are trying something new in simracing? No it can only be good, I really can`t see any bad in it..as I can`t see any bad in LFS making a Scirocco or getting Vykos in TV in Germany..
You know LFS has also been on NBC TV..everybody was happy...or most were happy...

I think most of us that are driving iRacing is just as happy with the NASCAR deal, as the LFS`er who is looking forward to the Scirocco, new tracks and so on...

Roadies getting nothing? We just got the Spec Racer and not long before that we got the Riley and VERY soon we will get the other cars. Oval guys has got Impala SS and Impala B...so thats very even. So no one is favoured...

Tracks? More ovals yes...but they must do them in time for next year I guess..but still Roadies are getting tracks very often too..and how many can people use , that depends on their license...
There are I think 15-16 oval tracks and 4 Roval who is also used in Road series...and there are 11 pure Road tracks.. So I think it`s very fair..
I`m very sad about LFS who has ONLY one oval..

I will look at your status Bernhard...so I can see what you are doing..

Quote from bbman :For all that "think big for #4!", this is pretty underwhelming, to put it diplomatically... One thing more for the oval guys to play with, but helps the road racing side of things nothing at all...

I'm also not sure how iRacing's target group and NASCAR's following are supposed to match up...

PMD9409 also said it..

NASCAR is also involved with Grand-Am

http://www.grand-am.com/multimedia/photos.cfm

http://www.grand-am.com/multimedia/photos.cfm?series=k

The deal can benefit everyone in iRacing. More members, TV and so on. More people will get to know about online sim-racing.

Strange that some people still thinks that oval guys is getting more than road guys. It`s very easy to make an oval and doesn`t take so long to make as most road courses. Talladega is a LONG track, but there is not many trees, hills, buildings and so on to make...

And still there are coming many things for the road guys..

Mosport
Miller Motorsports Park
Long Beach
Auto Club Speedway
Moroso Motorsports Park
Willow Springs

Ford GT
Corvette
Lotus 79
Jetta VW TDi
Mustang

And they will scan european tracks this year, maybe they are already working on it..

bbman - whats your name in iRacing? I`m just curious..

Quote from atledreier :
Takes two to tango, and it takes two to have a collision...

I can tell you that 99% of my incidents is not made by me ( I never spins on my own..)..hand on my heart...

Two to Tango yes..but in maybe 90% I simply can`t avoid it - the rest I could with a little bit of luck). People are either hitting me ( I brake where i should brake) in the back or spinning in front of me..but yes two to tango...but it`s hard to do anything by these things I just mentioned..at least for me... And i`m not crying about it, shit happens...

My average inc in Road is very good.. I think it`s 2.3xx and 3.5xx in oval.. but still I can`t simply avoid these inc most of the times. If i brake on the oval and try to steer away from it..I`ll bet that the the guy behind me will hit me... Especially on ovals. Guys are focused on my bumper and does not look 5-6-7 cars away..and thats a mistake from them..

But still very clean and fair racing in iRacing - I love it..

Quote from anttt69 :I think your missing some good racing Richard. Just because its open to rookies does not mean you have to race against them. As long as you put a half decent quali lap in you will always be near the front of the grid, racing guys that know how to & avoiding the mid pack carnage.

Ant... do you know how big SR hit you will get with a A license if you just gets x4 inc? Ohh my god....

But it`s not only for Rookies I know that..but I`ll wait to private leagues with that car...

I know someone from Denmark..he got x14 in two races and went down from, I think it was from 4.6x with a A license to 3.56...

But it`s a great car and I will drive it later in the year..i guess..

I like the Mazda on some tracks like Road America and Road Atalanta and I will maybe race on them. But I have never liked downforce Formulas so much. In LFS I really HATE the BMW Sauber and the Fo8. They are fun on ovals but not on roads. If there was more ovals in LFS I would have driven them more often.
In iRacing i`m looking forward to Indy Cars..
I think Mazda is great on Milwaukee and Phoenix..a Formula oval series would be very welcome imo..and I think we will see it in next season..

Also I can`t drive too many things at the same time.. oval racing is taking so much time... and I got hooked at it in my second season of iRacing..

I don`t think the Mazda is more difficult or easier to drive than the Skip Barber, it`s just that I ain`t hooked so much on the downforce cars. I like the Skip Barber and thinks the car is very easy to drive. I loose iRating points in Mazda and gains a lot of points in the Skip Barber.. Never driven any Formula like the Skip Barber in any Sim..it`s just the best...

I don`t wanna race the Spec Racer Ford this season. I don`t like the idea going down in the Rookie class, but i`m sure I will drive SRF when private leagues are coming..it`s such a great and rewarding car to drive and I think the sound is the best in iRacing...

I will for sure renew my yearly membership in two months time - no doubt about that..

I don`t like the bigger cars so much, so most of my time is in Skip Barber..But I can still enjoy a race in the Radical or Riley....or the Mazda..
Season 1 there was ONLY 178 with a A license, this season there are 565! I`m talking about Road..

There are 225 drivers with a B license who can drive License A car because they are above 4.0 in SR... So in total there should be 790 who could race the Riley..right now..

So it should be a lot more easy to find drivers in License A this season..

I have not had any problems finding enough drivers in license B and down so far..
